I know this is cold weather,(17 here right now...brrrr, keep the cold up there Nate.) but it will warm up eventually.
When the weather warms, where do you take your birds? For visits? Do they have kids/dogs/animals? What bothers them or what makes them happy on a travel/fun day?
do you carry them in a carrier? Or how do you get em there? The lady I got Cleo from actually has one of those clear carrier that she STRAPS ON A MOTORCYCLE BACK and rides her too Maxie around in. The bird loves it. Must make it feel as if it's flying. I'll ask her if I can post that pic of her with that setup on here. It's funnny.

Well if I do bring the boy out now, because it is kind of cold, I put him in a carrier. We just spent the night at my cousin's house. He has a blast over there as she has kids and a dog. It's a busy house. I sleep on the couch and he has a portable perch he sleeps on. Yes, he sleeps outside of a cage if we sleep out. As long as he's near me, he won't go anywhere.

We also take long car rides to my girlfriend's house who has a dog, cat, bird, and fish! He loves it there too.

I would love to see pics of that bird on a motorcycle Mark!

Peanut comes a lot of places. He has a swing hanging from the mirror. Its a toss up whether he likes the supermarket or the petshop best. He likes the palm tree outside the supermarket, he flies there has a swing on a branch and comes to me as I pass under him. He likes the fruit aisle, and to beak test bread in the trolley.

In the petshop there is bags of seed, toys and people that give out snacks, his kind of place. He does not get to see the birds or play toys due to health risk. The other suns also go to the pet shop, they are very welcome among the bird lovers.

He comes visiting to my sister but it sometimes a problem because he wants to fight with her grey. He comes so many places and enjoys it. He loves the car. I have recall trained him because he can open the harness. I also take him flying at the local sports ground.

You guys who take your birds places are so lucky. Our Budgies go in their cage - so far. As Laker comes when called so he got to fly around at my parents. Laker likes car rides but he's in his cage. Haven't taken Rio anywhere yet.

PS - they get to go outside in their cages in the cold for short periods of time if it isn't windy.
