Default Question About Pliers and O-Rings

i have a bunch of the unwelded o-rings that i am planning to use for toy making. i've tried using them a couple of times and i have no problem opening them up with the pliers. however, I can't seem to close them all the way. does anyone have tips for this or should i be using a special pair of pliers?

any help would be much appreciated

Hi, Emily, I asked my Dad & he thinks that you shouldn't need a special pair of pliers to close the O-rings. (He is a drywall contactor & general handyman.)
You could ask your husband to close them for you. Hope this helps.

I think you need a special plier also.

I cant close them either and find them to be a real pain in the butt. My solution was to throw them back into the fids only hardware jar and move on.

Hmmm...no wonder I've had no luck with O rings! I've given up- I have a hard time opening them and an even harder time closing them. One thing I've found that often works is going outside on the cement and banging on them with a hammer.
