This is my month old baby parakeet Metronome, she was born with only half of her right wing. The other parakeet in the nest was killed by the father getting into the nestingbox and stepping on it. But Metro still lived! The father was removed from the cage and my strong little mommy took care of all the responsibility herself. It was amazing to watch her dedication. Now he spends time outside the box with the other parakeets who have actually taken quite a liking to her, under the watchful eye of mom. Her name is Metronome because when she was just a baby her chirping inside the box was timed to perfectly you could play an instrument to it.
