artemis is a regular colored cockatiel, around 6.5 years old. he loves to play with shiny things and look out the window. sometimes, he will splash around in his dish of water. he loves his harrison's pellets and millet and HATES when i try to give him fresh foods. but i keep trying anyway! he talks in his own cockatiel language, but can seem to fully form english words.

he is the perfect specimen if i ever get a third bird, it will be a cockatiel friend for artemis.

baby photo

perfect in every way!

face eater!

Oh Emily - that last picture of Artemis is the best, it's so cute And it's interesting that in his baby picture he looks like a pied but it looks like the spots molted out.

This is my little Princess Lulu. She's a normal grey female and about 2 years old. She is absolutely the most well-behaved bird. She is always willing to step up, will do just about anything for head scritches, and she's just so laid back and easy to get along with. She thinks her little blue brothers are brats - which they are - but she tolerates them quite well. And she's totally smitten with my husband - I tell him all the time that she'd love to lay eggs with him

Beautiful Artemis! I used to have one years ago named Patishka, that was so precious! when my youngest son was 2 he accidentally put a plastic sword through her cage and knocked her off her perch. Believe me when I say she NEVER FORGOT!!!! LOL she would his at him any time he came in the room! Poor baby!

Allright, you asked for it!

Here is my baby Twitch.. He is a Cinnamon Cockatiel. I dont know his exat hathdate but he is a little over 2 years old I believe. When I got him he was nekid... in a tiny gross dark dirty pet store... He was on the bottom in his own poop andf had nothing but millert and some water. He claimed he was weaned, but absolutley wasnt. I tried to explain to the guy the bird was gonna die and he didnt wantr to hear it and he wanted like 200 bucks... so I picked up the cage, gave him what was in my pocket, I think it was 32 dollars, and told him to call the cops if he wanted to stop me...

I handfed him back to health and he is an extrmeley loving bird. When he was a baby as his feathers were starting to ome in, he would do this bizare siezure looking twitch which freaked me out at first... but the vet said it wasnt anything. But thats how he got his name lol... He loves to whistle.. if it can be whistled, he can whistle it. He loves scritches and hanging out anywhere on daddy.

At my old apartment in my roomates christmas tree..

Thought this was a cool piture.. looks like shes landing on Jewel

Very pretty birdies.

Josh, I can't tell whether the bedding is the dry corn cob stuff but, if it is, please don't use it any more. It has killed birds by impacting their crops. Very dangerous stuff. Try using alfalfa instead, it's not only perfectly edible, it's a great internal organ cleanser so, if the birds happen to eat it, it's actually very good for them.

It may be that one day I will be the proud owner of these 2. They are currently at my parent's. Alice is into laying eggs - I have given tons of lectures about "No Bedding!" but usually the caregiver defies me.[my mother is in a wheelchair & cannot look after them herself]
I am currently looking into a bigger cage to give them for Christmas or at least soon.

Mo is about 7 or 8 years old - normal Tiel & Alice is about 5 & is a Lutino.
Mo is untamed but he likes me a better than anyone & will let me handle him.
Alice came tame & is actually a very sweet bird although she gets little training - she does get out of the cage time more than Mo & will fly to almost anyone. I'm the one who got Mo to leave his cage a year or so ago & now he will go out if Alice is out for a bit.

wet Alice - she loves bathing & a dry Mo - who really doesn't get into the bathing experience.

I am the clipper of their nails - I seem to time my visits around that - i took this photo before a clip, poor fellow. He is very vocal but Alice is quite quiet.
