Default Right Handed

As I'm sitting here eating my lunch, I can't help but wonder how you become accomplished at eating with your left hand because there is a Macaw sitting on your right! I always end up making a mess (with Kady's help)!

Any secrets to this...or is it practice makes perfect?

LOL I usually eat on the couch. I put my feet up on the coffee table and Maple stands on my leg and steals off my plate...hehehe. I try to avoid her standing on my arm while eating. Harley just begs from across the room with repeated..."mmmmmmm"'s.

So to answer your question....I don't know...LOL. I would imagine in time you'd get better at it...how long it would take is another story..haha.

Silly Kady!

I am left handed so eating left is no problem. My birdie being small likes to sit on my shoulder and do raiding missions. He always goes back to my shoulder once he has selected his trophy. Sometimes selection does take a while as he takes samples till he finds his choice morsel.

When I eat with a bird, they're always on my left shoulder, leaning down to be fed a bite. Messy for the hair, and they sometimes steal the utensil, but it's easier on my hands, with their arthritis. A bird on the hand gets heavy after awhile :-).

Guess you'll have to train Kady to feed you.

I never have this problem

Even a bird on my arm or hand still allows me to get things done using that hand - the bird simply gets a "ride" out of it
