Thank you Josh, I will cross post this onto the New York Pigeon Rescue Central group and see what they have to say about it.
Hopefully there's a place to e-mail ones support.
I really hate to say this but while the Pigeons were being netted (in daylight hours) the law stood back and done nothing.
It was activist groups that took a stand and began helping these birds.
Its illegal in the city of New York to help a Pigeon even if the bird is injured.
Sadly there are radicals that will take this issue to the next level and begin to harm others trying to protect these birds and why, because there is no willingness to look at the alternatives, this issue is far from being over..

I encourage those that can to join this group, its painless and these birds need your support, Al is a good friend of mine, he is a member of my Pigeon forum.
If you can, please join this Pigeon group, mention my name, ask if there is anything you can do to help, even a simple e-mail will be seen and heard.
My old saying apply's, "there is no greater wrong than he/she who done nothing because they felt they could do so little".
These birds need your help, the smallest gesture will help these birds, Please know this and don't turn and walk away...be heard....
I have and continue to explain to everyone here on ParrotChatter what these birds endure...would you like to endure such horrors?
I try to post information to what they have done for Mankind through out history, I post the facts, not fiction...
The very same things we oppose and fight against as humans seems to be what we support and condone when it comes to the Pigeon.
Mass poisonings.
Persecution without representation.
Illegal horrors done in broad daylight (nettings) and a call for help that has fallen upon deaf ears.
There is no protection for the bird of peace, NONE, but yet the Feline and Dog are protected.
We as humans praise the Dove/Pigeon as a symbol of peace, then we turn around and allow these birds to be slaughtered, is there no end to this maddness.
Help these birds, they have litterally given there lives so that we could live ours.
The horrors done unto these birds need to stop, it will never end unless you help, its this plain and simple...

There is a war brewing, the public officals must do something to address the many complaints, I do not envy them.
There are answers, the best way to find answers are to start at the beginning.
These birds were here way before Mankind, knowing this and excepting this is the hardest aspect, this seems to elude mankind, it seems to be harder to wipe ones shoes off than it is to say "get rid of them".
Maybe we should look at Genocide and how we respond to it on a human level.
Do we not rush in to stop this Genocide when seeing this happen on a Human level, well this is what is happening here concerning the Pigeons in New York and it seems in other countries as well.
Humans need to answer a major question, what do we want to happen to the bird of peace in New York City, do we wish them GONE?
This is Genocide and it simply CAN"T HAPPEN.
It seems there are more humans that want the end to come unto these birds than there are those that respect these birds and there right to live the life given to them, how do we change this?
I strive to help these birds, in the past I have been shunned for my ways, I fight those that exploit these birds and make no mistake, the Racing Pigeon World is but one I fight for the horrors done unto these birds within the sport.
I strive to change the way people look upon the bird of peace.
Why starve these birds, why shut down the vendor selling the seed to feed these birds, why not do as mankind seems to do concerning every other issue, Tax the seed and or vendors to aid in clean up the streets, or the areas this birds get together to show us there Beauty.
It seems there is always a need to rush in and KILL.
The animals were here first, we the humans are the invaders, the sooner this is agreed upon is the day things will change, this world was there's thousands of years before mankind placed his/her footprint.
Sadly in all of this, a radical will be born and people will be hurt, just as they hurt these birds, the same will be done unto them.
Don't blame Peta, don't blame ALF, look into the mirror, and place the blame where it belongs, those that do nothing because they feel they can do so little, united we stand, devided we fall.
The Racing Pigeon is Federally Protected, why is this?, why are not all birds of peace not protected?
The word is the Racing Pigeon world is a very powerful entity, then why is it there are not more signatures on my petition to get the bird of peace federally protected, if the Pigeon Racing world is so powerful then why are they not supporting these wonderful birds?
I will tell you why, because even within good intentions there are fences erected to asssure division.
I rescue the bird of peace, I protect the bird of peace, know there is a difference Pigeon Racing World and 911pigeonalert.
The bird of Peace needs your help Racing Pigeon World, What are you going to do about it?
As far as I am concerned these words go out to everyone, these birds need your help, they are fighting for something that should be there least worry, they are fighting for the right to live the life given to them.
These birds need to be federally protected, this will stop the mass poisonings, this will force public official to seek other measures of controling there numbers, this will stop the horrors done unto these birds.
There is a aggresive campaign of Genocide being done unto the bird of Peace, this aggression must be met with aggression.

The ASPCA and Peta have turned there backs unto the bird of peace.
They have chozen to support the recent suggestion of Felder.
Both entities have become to large for there shoes, both have become to powerful for there own good.
Any group (known for helping animals) that supports what is about to become law in New York need to re-think just what there morals and values are.
It will be statements as you have made that will open the eye's.

I for one support Dove Cotes and knowledge of maintaining such Dove Cotes.
I practice taking eggs and replacing with fake eggs to help control my birds and there offspring, some would say this is horrible, starving birds is horrible, mass poisoning birds is horrible.
Money walks and money talks, and believe me, both the ASPCA and PETA are being bought out, behind the scenes but it is happening.
The same is happening concerning the illegal nettings being done in broad daylight and the cries falling upon deaf ears.
The dirt behind all of this has yet to be dug up, but as all wrongs, it will eventually emerge.

I have always stressed unity amung Bird forums, this is a good example why!
ParrotChatter needs to reach out to this group, tell them we are here, tell them we will help, in some form or manor, we will help.
Cross Posting seems to be another issue, but maybe someone that belongs to another forum will cross post this information, this is what is needed.
It doesn't always take money, a simple e-mail as you have said.
The more this issue is cross posted the better.

It is up to me to beg, plea, whatever it takes to get everyone to help.

I firmly believe ParrotChatter was created to help birds, all birds...this is your chance ParrotChatter, to do what you do best...these birds need your help.
