Default Had to bring the Racers in

Came home from work, checked on the babies, found them shivering in the corner.
No parent keeping them warm, 28 degrees outside.
As I mentioned before, these 2 Racing Pigeons decided to lay in a corner of the loft with no bedding, its not unusual to find birds sitting in corners due to several can't fly from old injuries (rescues), well these 2 snuck 2 eggs in on me.
I provided nesting material after I candled the eggs to see how far they were in development.
These 2 are maybe a week and half old, Soooooo I brought them in the house and nuked 2 clean t-shirts to warm them up, and here they are....back to hand feeding.....

They look so grateful and warm! It must be hard to try to keep on top of those eggs all the time, I guess these two were supposed to be here! I wish I could help with them. Have fun dad!

, I provide nest boxes for a reason, so I can keep up on placing in fake eggs, I let my guard down last year thinking the cold weather would tell the birds "hey best we don't lay eggs, its to cold outside"...oh but no, below zero weather and I was finding babies.
This kinda began the Saga of adopting hand tamed Pigeons....
I also snapped 2 shots of Boyd, but they didn't come out so well, kinda blurry, then I found out why, Dead battries....so am charging them right now.
Sooooo keep stopping in the forum...I am gonna bring Boyd in and put him in the large green cage to get some good shots of him, he's fairly quick on his little feet....

Yep, if someone stands up for them...if not, back out to the loft, back to being wild, then more than likely released this spring.

I do wish I had the time, they sure are wonderful. I am dedicating to a lahore baby...but these two make me think twice!!!
I can't wait to see how they progress, it will really help me when I have mine. How often do you feed them?

What beautiful babies Arty.
One more story of Arty's to follow every one.
Arty needs to make his own reality show.
