New York City Pigeon Rescue Central.
What has 911pigeonalert done so far?
If nobody stands up for this bird, I will offer Sanctuary to this bird of peace here in my loft but this will require shipping the bird to me, this costs close to $50.00, $11.00 for the shipping box, $27.00 to ship the bird 2 day express.
Please let me know what you would like to do.

Hi Jen,
I try my best to help these birds; I have been rescuing the bird of peace for many years now.
I have had Pigeons shipped to me from all over the USA, many are crippled from there injuries, this has cost me a great deal over the years as I used to cover all the cost, "as long as the bird is safe", the cost simply mattered not to me, now I have had to make adjustments, I recently lost my Job after 27 years and now am earning less than half of my usual income, this has forced me to make changes.
I pray you find someone to care for this Pigeon, If not, I pray you can send the little one to me before it becomes to cold to ship.
The Pigeon is my world Jen, they mean everything to me, this bird haunts me, The more Mankind exploits this bird, the more harm that is done unto them, the more I try and help them.
I wish you the best, Good luck in finding someone close by to love and care for the Pigeon you are caring for.

Thanks Arty! I'm so sorry about your job!!!!!! I will definitely keep your offer in mind and do what I can to get he pigeon somewhere good. I just prefer to keep it local because of cost, because of stress to you (I used to do cat rescue and I know how overload can feel!!!!!!!) and because of stress to the pigeon of the transport. So...don't stress about this little guy...we are on the case over here and we'll find somewhere good for him AND let you know how it goes!!!!!!!!!!

I have a soft spot for pigeons. No room for them, since I have a houseful of rescued cats, but I've brought ferals around NYC for help before and as a child, my grandma and I used to go out and feed ferals to try to get them to eat out of my hand (sometimes succesfully). :-)
