I thought I'd let you guys know something I encountered today with my cage.
I bought this cage at a birdfair in Memphis for $300.00 total. Parts were still in the plastic. I didn't know anything about Featherland until I got home and researched it. I just liked the build/layout of the cage. It fit our needs.
I got home and went to their website and found that if bought new, that cage was $700.00 plus shipping. I'm like "WOW...I got a DEAL!".
Months roll on, one of the bars broke cause of me sticking my fingers in it and rolling it. duh, my fault.
Anyway, today I call the company to find out how they recommend to repair this?
Secretary aske me to take pix of it, I said, well....ok. She then asked where I got it and I told her. She said, HOLD ON PLEASE>>>>
next thing I know I'm talking to the president of the company!!!YIKES...
He wanted to know who sold me this cage, I really don't remember and I lost his card. He said HIS cages are not to be sold, especially new, at birdfairs!!
He was upset, not so much at me, but just didn't know HOW it got in a birdfair.
There was little I could tell him, I did look for that dewd's card but couldn't find it.
I got my answer, he said to just use liquid weld and clamp it. Dunno bout all that in her cage.
But, anyway, I left the man pretty irate about how HIS cage got into a birdshow. I didn't say much more and
I dunno, the FBI, Featherland Bureau of Investigation, maybe showing up on my step to confiscate said contraband cage. jeez..
Just thought you'd all want to be aware of this, I had no idea. It maybe marked with red dye and explode when you leave the birdfair.
If you don't hear from me in month or so, I'll be under a new name somewhere with my family and Cleo.
I hope they send me somewhere warm and on the beach.
