We just returned from the Society of Canary & Finch Breeders Bird Show. It was our first show that we entered our birds in... It was a wonderful weekend, very educational, and very rewarding! We entered two of our Lineolated Parakeets in the show and they made us so proud.

First in their Class category :

Gidget received 1st place

Gizmo received 2nd place


In Section category:

Gidget received 3rd Best in Section

Gizmo received 2nd Best Novice in section

In Division:

Gidget received 9th place in the show over all!

Not to bad for first timers! But all the credit has to go to the Linnie's!

They did so good Gizmo's downfall was he wanted to play... but that's OK...he will learn.

Congrats Denise. That's awesome!!! What do they judge the linnies on? I've never been to a bird show. We just went to a bird fair this weekend. My inlaws got another Cockatiel. She's beautiful!! Congrats again.

I will...Let me write something up...& I will post it later... I will explain training at home and what goes on at the show.
And next time I will take video... I never thought of that. I was so worried about getting them ready... and then just hoping they did well... next time video!

And thank you everyone else... It was very educating... The judge took the time in each class to explain why he chose which bird & why. I have never seen that before.
