Thank you. I will try to get some pictures taken of the babies tomorrow ... or today?
I've heard mixed reviews. They are still together. Ollie seems much happier and doesn't cry when I go to work now. He's a little nippy (as you probably know Red Rumps nipping is more funny than anything, it doesn't hurt at all) when she's out with him but not when he's with me by himself. He's still talking, giving me kisses and they sleep side by side.
Formerly alone (her clutch-mate died early on), Kali seems to be quite content as well. She loves her toys, food and Ollie and is eating and drinking well. So far no problems. I will keep an eye on them and get her another cage if necessary but I think they are a good match. I don't have a divider. They are in the top cage of a three tier stacking unit, my Parrotlets are in the bottom two cages. I don't know much about breeding but I don't have anything in there that they could nest with and I have their full spectrum lighting on a timer. Kali is probably I would guess 10-12 weeks old?
I can say that I LOVE watching them together. They're so adorable. She's like a mirror image of him, just a different color. Much different from my Parrotlets who are completely different from each other in behavior and demeanor. Ollie is very affectionate and Kali seems to be picking that up and immitates him. Ollie gives me kisses... Kali gives me kisses. Gotta love them, eh?
