A girl I know Text me today asking if I knew anyone who wanted to "adopt" a Brown Headed Parrot, I told her I would get back to her. I know the birds original owner so I contacted her to let her know that the bird was being re-homed, she hasn't called me back yet (not sure if she would want it back tho). So I text her back to give me a call later, her boyfriend called me at 11:00 pm and told me that the bird was nice and came with a cage. Then he told me that they wanted $40 or so for the bird and cage to buy food for their other pets...Poor BH parrot..The girls BF told me to call him if I found anyone interested and he would "let me know the adoption fee that they come up with" mind you they got the bird and cage for free. Poor bird I hate that kind of crap, trying to make a profit...But none the less I thought I would post the info. PM me if interested, the bird is located in PA. I am going to try to talk her BF out of the "adoption fee" idea.

Cas, alot of people in rescue believe strongly in the adoption fee because you can get some bad situations otherwise. I think $40.00 is even low to tell you the truth. Yeah poor guy I hope someone kind wants him. Ask him to hold on maybe somebody here will see this.

They want to sell the bird they are not interested in a good home...thats what makes me mad, the girl is 17...I could have her send the bird to a local rescue but her and her BF want to sell it
