hey guys,

i think i've failed to mention here before that i am an artist. a sculptor to be more exact. i am an art teacher at the multimedia school Full Sail here in orlando. recently, i did a few parrot sculptures that i plan to auction off on e-bay; a portion of the proceeds will go to the gabriel foundation.

i thought you guys might like to see them. i also threw my "cheeseburger in paradise" tropical gryphon in there because i thought some of you would get a kick out of it

the baby goffins measures 7.5" x 5.5" x 3.5". the jenday conures measure 11" x 7" x 7.5". the hyacinth macaw measures 7.5" x 5.5" x 3.5". the gryphon measures 10" x 10" x 6".

i sculpt using a polymer clay called super sculpey and paint them with acrylics. good times!

LOL, last year I worked in a third grade class, and when they were making clay owls, I made one too.... Everytime someone comes over, they ask if one of the kids made it for me......

That puts me in the mood to bust out my clay and make some sculptures too, what kind were you using? 10G? I prefer mine with less grit for that nice smooth feeling when you run it through your hands.

r2r - oh you know i'd be all over this

tinna - i use super sculpey, it's a polymer clay. it doesn't dry out like ceramic clay and the like. it's super smooth.
