I just picked up a bag of zupreem naturals to try in my macaw mix. | i've always fed harrison's to my cockatiel, but ivy is going to be weaned onto zupreem pellets. there sure seem to be a lot of people saying good things about them. thanks for your input! |

I would never use colored pellets. My birds get primarily fresh then Harrisons mash for the budgies but not much...particularly the one with lipomas loves it. I like TOP organic and Foundation Formula organic. Neither are a complete diet. But neither have man made ingredients that concern me. Even though I give man made vitamins and calcium.
Pellets in budgies showed vitamin toxicity in a study by A&M and also problems with some mutations have been seen, so I pretty much avoid them. My Parrotlets however will kill for TOP or FF so I let them have them and hope there's no adverse reaction.
I'd consult with your vet about your Hys especially since they have specific needs. Harrison's makes more choices such as Hi Po. (not saying the Hys need that... just sayin...) | oh yes, i will definitely be talking to my vet about it for sure. thanks for your response. |
