Question Morning birds?????

Does your bird have a better time to work with and enjoy? I'm finding Baby is NOT a morning bird. No matter how much sleep she gets, she is grumpy and more nippy in the am, around 9 oclock than later in the evening. Then, she'll gladly hang out. My best time to work with/hang out with her is about 7 oclock at nite. Then bedtime at 8:00.

I haven't really noticed this with Ollie. She is more high strung/hyper in the morning- gotta work off all the energy that went unused during the night! Typically as the day goes on she calms down, and by a few hours before bedtime she's a little cuddle bug. However, she'll do anything for a nut at any time during the day!

hmmm, LOL...it's just Baby then. hahah. She continues to make ME work! She is just harder to work with in the am. More stubborn. More nippy. Still tryint to get her to step up consistently, I want her to come OUT of the cage on the perch. At nite, she's ok. In the am, she hates that perch still. LOL.

I don't know... Winkie comes out of the cage, runs up my arm (no hand in the night cage an' it please ye) & starts lungeing at my neck. No biting, just banging his beak on my neck. this goes on for maybe a minute (& sometimes until I put in the big cage for food) & then he's fine for the day. 6-6:30 he starts fussing for bed.

Same here Leah, the last two weeks the Parrotlets started moving their own bedtime back to roost at 6 pm (on the chandelier waiting to go to the sleeping room)....which I thought was premature but it's in sync with what's going on outside. It's me now, delaying them till about 6:30 I didnt expect to change my schedule so early in Sept! So I have to get my act together and not be doing dishes or on the phone or whatever then...body clocks are set, though so in they go! There's no "working" in the morning ever....they have business to attend to LOL....When I was working on recall the best times were about mid morning and mid afternoon after they started "dinner" around two pm.

Mine want to eat in the morning. They're better from late morning to middle of the afternoon. Then they need a nap. At night they're best in the early evening. They get tuckered out early, like little kids. Might be just the schedule I've got them on, though. I have no idea what they'd be like if they got up & went to bed with the sun. We keep them in the dark till 9-10 AM for the sake of our neighbors, so that they don't do their morning singing until a reasonable hour.
