My interest in parrots was sparked by the TV story of an Amazon adopted from the Gabriel Foundation. After that, I drove chat lists crazy asking questions and researching the species. I fell for the Eclectus and after reading about the females, I decided only a male would do for me.

A local, privately owned pet store had gotten in 4 Eclectus, 1 male and 3 females. I KNEW everyone would want the boy so I played hookey from work and raced to the store. I was gonna get him!

I went to the baby cage, the green boy looked at me and turned his back to me, facing the wall. (brief moment of disappointment) In doing so, he revealed the most amazing little red and blue diva bird ever! It was all over after that. Research was thrown to the wind. I was a Redhead slave!

I have a Grand Eclectus Pair...Hmmm I'm no help I love them both equally, my male Pierre is a more outgoing. While my female Audrey is the brat (talks back,tells my Bf's severe where to go)..hehe

LOL, I've been around, just very busy... I still have all three fidians, who are very happy. I've still been praying hard about it and I've been blessed with a new best friend. She not only shares the same passions I do but is in LOVE with African Greys! When we varnish the hardwoods, she'll be taking Echo for a few days. I don't think I'll ever give her up, but it's nice to know that there's someone out there who is in love with my baby (but I'm not too godd at sharing
