Out of curiosity, who here wants an ekkie/ is planning to get one/dreams of owning a dreamer bird!? Also, why? What makes you so attracted to them?

For me, I think it was the looksat first. They look like they're straight off Sesamy Street. Their vibrant colors and perhaps the fact that they look so sweet and cute! Then it was their voices, OMG, who can't fall for an ekkie voice??? And lastly, it's the fact that they are so diverse. They can be playful and then want to sunggle under your neck. So, why are ekkies special to you?

LOL, yea, me too. But, it's fiunny with Lucy... I think because she's a cross, she possesses traits of both Red Sided and Vosmarie. She has a purple chest (that's actually there!) a blue-purple eye ring (can't really see that) and blue wings. Everyone's favorite part is her tail. Supposedly, it looks like a tiqula (sp???) sunrise/ That's mum's opinion and I have no idea where she got it, lol!

I love my green bean! But Im also in lve love with a Vos hen name Evelyn. Id take her in a heartbeat. She's well loved in a new home, I think she's 13. She is the 1 and only redhead Ive met that makes want a hen.

I love both the male and female's they both have great personalitys,I had a pair here at the rescue the male was more social and liked to be held and the female was more shy,she ran the roost though.

Vos and Vos crosses seem to be the ones who continuously stay sweet throughout adulthood. They don't ger super hormonal and are actually more cuddly. Of course, there's the exception to the rule, but every Vos I've met has been a doll! LOL, you should get her..one day. I love the name Evelyn, it makes me think of the 50's where everyone had beautiful skin and broght red lipstick, very classy, lol!
