I voted yes, but there is only a seed skirt on Lulu's cage. It does help with some mess I suppose, I don't think about it often. She rarely sits on the cage door or on top of her cage so I don't have the problem of her poops running down into those crevices of the seed guard.

Yes, but only for the Budgies...The others would tear it apart.

Dakota, yes. Ollie, at the moment, no. We're trying to conserve space, but it's just a trial. Up until a month ago I would never have thought of not using them.

My cage came with it, and I couldn't figure out how to put them on, so I never did. We do get seeds everywhere but I just vacuum. The cage is against the wall and I think it would stick out too far with the skirt anyways.

I keep most of my indoor cages over/on indoor-outdoor carpeting which makes for real easy cleanup, otherwise I would use seed skirts if in any other room other than the bird rooms.

I don't have one on Eve's cage, it dissapeared years ago, but he only sleeps in his cage. His play stand however has one, and thank God for it!

I started out using them, then took them off because they're such a pain in the butt. But, after a couple of months I put them back on, and now the vacuum doesn't fill up nearly as quickly! Chico could probably do without one, if he drops food it's only straight down. Quito's not too bad, but a bit messy. Tausi is a real flinger.

We use them on our cages, they are a must for Seymour. He often eats his favorite Seeds and Nuts then tosses the bowl.
