Default Ollie's Flydown Skills

Ollie is very good at flying downward. I tried to get some photos today, but it was difficult to do it all by myself. She begins perched exactly 10 feet from the ground. My hand (her landing spot) is held about 1.5 feet off the ground. I was laying on the floor with my knees directly under the hoopball. It wasn't completely straight down, but it was a very small angle.

She wasn't the least bit apprehensive of flying down like this. Once she saw the nut in my hand she practically fell of the perch in her haste to reach me.

Here are the photos:

Way to go Ollie! It is amazing the skills that they have when they are experienced fliers.

The other night Lulu was on her mini-hoopball. Winston flew over to it, and she didn't like that. She swung down and was hanging upside down from the bottom of it. I watched to see what she did, I was sitting on the couch near the hoopball and I was very close to it, several feet below it and at a small angle like you were with Ollie. She went from upside down hanging to flying down to me and landed perfectly on my shoulder, it was very cool. She had such a cool look on her face like, "What, you didn't think I could do that, did ya?!"

Ollie has done that a few times- amazing! Several times a day she'll be hanging sideways on one of the more vertical parts of her hoopball and she'll take off flying from there. That always amazes me too.

Very good looks like a free fall parachute jump. I am considering letting Peanut be fully flighted since his recall is good. He is not brave enough to fly off a high place but he does lean down and jump.
