Since I moved the fids into the new room Im starting to worry it will be cold in winter. The room is on an outside wall. Does anyone use space heaters for fid room?

Leigh, I use oil filled radiators. They're completely safe and have worked well for me. They're thermostat controlled, so their room remains at the temperature I want for them.

This is what I used all last winter. I kept it in my bedroom where Ollie's cage is. It kept the room all nice and toasty all winter, even with the apartment thermostat set at about 65. It has an automatic kick on feature, so I'd just set it at about 74ish, and if the temp got down to 72 or 73 it'd kick on itself and warm back up to 75.

I called the company and they told me it didn't have any teflon or anything in it.

I'm very happy with it- best heater I've ever had.

We also use an oil filled. Just remember to run them outside for the first time in order to burn off any excess manufacturing lubricants that may be on them...

We've had it for about 2, maybe 3, years thus far and we love it - paid around $400.00 for it.

Leigh- I paid around $60 for mine at Home Depot.

SO, you can let it run all night long? Thats when I really need it, for sleepy time. We like to drop it down to 65 in here, which would make their room 60.
