Default Birdie French Toast

Birdie French Toast

2 eggs
1 jar sweet potato baby food (all natural)
or fresh cooked mashed sweet potato
Sprinkle of Cinnamon
Whole Grain Bread

In a small mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, baby food and Cinnamon until smooth and slightly frothy.

Coat both sides of bread in mixture. Place into hot pan and fry on each side until golden brown.

I picked up a few jars of the "Earth's Best" organic sweet potatoes over the weekend, so I made this recipe this morning. Kady says, "Ummmmm, that's good."

I think I'll try this this morning and see how everyone likes it. Just don't tell the kids - they wanted pancakes for breakfast this morning and I made them eat cold cereal cause I didn't feel like cooking yet!

The french toast was a hit with Kirby and the conures! Thanks Karen. Would you mind if I shared this recipe with my alexandrine email group? I got some pics of Kirby (who wouldn't come up for air!) and the conures (though it's not a very good one). Skittles and the tiels were thinking about trying it - but haven't yet. Rico was picking the hemp seed and millet off the toast. (I sprinkled the hemp and millet onto the toast while cooking it to tempt the birds who are more picky about trying new things.)

Steph, that's great that they liked it. Loved the pics, thanks! It's a good source for some important vitamins and nutrients that they need. Please feel free to share the recipe.

Oh my gosh!! She's eating it! I don't want to jinx it by breaking out the camera, so I'll get photos next time I make it!

Great recipe Karen!
