He's visiting today, so I took some photos of him a couple of hours ago for your viewing pleasure. I hope you enjoy them :-). Mikey will be 7 months old in about a week or so, and he weighs in at about 1150 grams as of his last vet visit about 3 weeks ago. So, without further ado, heeeeeere's Mikey:

When he's at your place, how do you other birds react? How's Bob handling the steady stream of Macaws?

What a handsome boy! And I love those cute white toes of his- it makes him extra special! I love the sign on the fence in last pic (I'm assuming its yours)- with as many dogs as you have it's almost necessary to warn people, lol!

He's gorgeous Irish! How much do you think he'll weigh when he's mature. He already looks so much bigger than 1150 to me. Is there an ETA for him to visit permanently?

Homebird, the others are used to seeing Mikey, as he comes over at least once/week. He can share perch space with Ceilidh without them coming to blows. Bob only likes Arthur, so I haven't let Bob or Arthur close enough to Mikey for them to get into mischief. Maybe someday....

Camille, yes the "Bark Zone" sign is ours!

Karen, according to experts, he should weigh between 1200 and 1400 grams full grown. Since he's a DNA'd male, I'm guessing closer to the 1400 gram side of the scale.

He's still on 2 feedings/day, so it will be at least a couple of months, and probably more, before he comes home to stay. I can't wait!!

Are the white toes common or a mutation? They make an amazing looking bird, even more amazing, I absolutely love the white! Did you have to pay more because of it? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just fascinated in Mikey! How can you wait a couple of months! lol that has to be so hard, at least you get to see him every week.
