Intro: Shadow and Sweet pea!

Here are my 2 tiels, Shadow is my white-faced tiel, and Sweet Pea is my cinnamon Pearl pied! They are both female and so so sweet! they LOVE head scratches, and squacking as loud as they can. They are very talkative for females, well they can't actually say any words, but they squeak and Sweet pea whistles now. *yay* Their other cage-mate is my budgie Sprite, and they all get along great. Sprite is responsible mostly for teaching Sweet Pea to whistle. I got Shadow as a weanling, and just this year got Sweet Pea at a bird fair she is 3 y/o and I couldn't ask for a nicer bird.

You have all my favourite types of Tiels!
Although the White face males are very nice too - they remind me of Mimes.

They both look excellent.

How old is Shadow now? Did the 2 Tiels get along right away? Nice that you picked up the 3 yr old. I love Pearl hens - they are soooooooo beautiful.

I still can't get over the fact that the Budgie is control of the flock - more or less. But they do have the energy for the job.

What's their diet like?

Well, first we thought that Shadow might have been a boy, because she's always got somethimg to squak about, but she never changed color!

Shadow is just over a year (alomst 2), We actually went to a breeder to get a Lutino, and I saw shadow and I fell right in love with her!
When I got Sweet Pea, shadow was terrified of her, lol, but it only took a few days for them to get used to each other. there haven't been any fighting, so to answer your question they did get along right away!

*funny thing* Sprite the budgie thinks that shadow is his girl friend, they have been trying to 'mate' but I'm not going to allow them to hibridize, though it would make a strange looking bird!! even though sprite thinks he's #1 they all know that I'm top "bird". I think that may be why I've never had any of them get into fights. argure yes, but no fights!
