The bird room is set up pretty easy. It's a large room with 6 large windows (all screened). It's tiled with ceramic tile, though it looks real. I recommend if you tile, seal it with a good sealer as ours wasn't good at all. On the long wall, Echo-Bella and Lucy's cages are against two windows. On the joining side is Harley's cage (middle window). In the corner I have the playstand. Eventually, I will have a hoop ball there with toys that's the play center.
The cages are all set up a little different according to each bird. There are several perches in all the cages (varies, but here's a idea): (2) grooming perches (1) lava rock, (1) cholla or other type of wood. These are all at different levels. I also have rope perches in Lucy and Echo-Bella's cages, so I would take out other unneeded perches.
Toys! Lots and lots of toys! I like variety. Shredders, chewing, interactive, foraging, noise (bells) and acrilic/plastic. I also like the plasitc chains in various lengths for climbing and swinging. Foot toys, like shapes and balls are very popular as well. |
