Oh my goodness this section is empty. I wonder why, Pionus are the best birds in the world after all

This is Darwin, my bronze wing pionus.



Dawkins, my white cap pionus. Excuse his awful feather quality, he is a rehome and we are still working on getting him healthy.

They are incredible! Look at those big eyes!

It's those big eyes that make Pionus tolerable during breeding season and despite the fact they are as dusty as a grey.
Not to mention mine are as soft and cuddly as a cockatoo. Darwin's nickname is Little Blue Cockatoo.

Beautiful birds...look at the colors!

They are so underestimated as companions! I just love their personalities and fiesty nature.

Really - I didn't know that Pionus were dust birds. Learn something new every day!

Noone knows it it seems, But oh my goodness they are dusty. Sometimes it's like it's snowing at our house when they molt.

I am so glad to see some Pionus here. Welcome!! I have always been infatuated with their coloring, it's so beautiful. I would love to see one in person someday.

Karen, they are AWESOME birds! Ive had the pleasure of handling several, most recent a bronze wing. Very sweet.

thanks so much for sharing those photos - i love pionuses..... always wanted one.... came across a shy little white capped girl at a bird fair; since she needs some work they'd have sold her to me for a bargain - BF wasn't thrilled, so i'm still waiting for my chance....
