Default Strange, but true!

I spend about a half hour every morning cleaning out the aviary, while the birds wait inside. Later, they come out for the day.

Today, after I finished, I was just standing around, kinda enjoying the cool of the morning, and I heard one of the local baby crows (baby, as in it's fledged, but it still follows Mom and Dad around everywhere, begging for food).... talking (I could see him plainly, and watch his beak move while he did it)! And what do you think this little Einstein was saying?

"Hel-lo.... Bob.... Ar-ter"!

LOL! Very, very strange (although I know tame crows have learned to talk--but wild ones?), but way too cool! Guess he spends an awful lot of time hanging around our house :-).

I think that just might freak me out a bit! Maybe if you try talking to it, it might hang around and you can get some video!

That's hilarious!

Now my real question is about that new macaw you've managed to sneak into your signature - did I miss something, when did this happen? I saw your sig and then I had to look twice cause it looked different then I did a head count to see if everyone's there lol.

Wow, that is way cool! What kind of chemicals did you say you were using to clean the aviary?

LOL! A vacuum cleaner :-P.

I actually tried to get a video of this li'l guy talking. Although I could zoom in on him just fine, the sound of the window mounted AC drowned any other sound out.

Sarah, I announced Kenobi's arrival in the Macaw section, when someone (Gary, maybe?) asked who has hybrid macaws. Kenobi is a Camelot, and he was born on Easter (4/08/07). Read the thread, and you'll also see that I've purchased a baby Scarlet, and am just waiting for DNA results (today, some time!) to arrive before I choose which one is mine. It's only about 8-9 weeks old, so won't be coming home for awhile yet.
