Beautiful lovebird found in a neighbor's backyard a couple of days ago. I'm smitten to have its company but I know first hand how it hurts to have lost a fid.

Padfoot (his new name) is a peach faced lovebird. Tame although doesn't quite step up for me, but allows me to get very close to him.

He's currently residing in a small parrot cage (thank goodness I had one on hand) and I took him to the K State vet department where he had a checkup yesterday and some antibiotics.
