Default Help is needed to Transport Cockatoo

Denise Kelly, from the Avian Welfare Coalition in New York, is asking for help in transporting a male Umbrella Cockatoo from Camden, N.J. to Fredericksburg, Va. His owner died and he is alone in the home except for neighbors who come into feed/water other than that there is no interaction.
He is nice and handable but with no interaction God knows how long that will be. A van would be needed plus a suitable size carrier. Denise is willing to pay someone who would be interested. Please contact Denise directly at Dkelly5484@aol.com

I know this is the third post from me but bear with me, did contact her to update you guys further. They found a ride for him but if that bottoms out they're keeping me as back up and I told her if she has any more ferry rides she needs taken care of I'd be more than happy to help out shelters move birds to new homes. I like this idea of being a Bird Runner If anyone else wants to volunteer they can still contact her there's no limit for helpful people

Sorry Pat, I just saw this. I did send off an email offering assistance. You know me, I'm such a sucker for a cockatoo. (ha ha, he may not make it to Fredricksburg VA if he is with me!!)

Sorry all for not responding back sooner - have been overwhelmed with birds needing homes. A great big THANK YOU for offering to help. (Hey Jan - I thought you said you were full - no room for another too? If there's room for "just one more" do let me know!!
