I wanted to ask her about her caiques but she seems to have vanished? She didn't respond to my PM, so I am coming here to ask if anyone has heard from her?

Well it seems to me that she is the best woman to ask about the caique clowns. I was hoping to get some insight about them, as they are a dream bird of mine.

I just noticed that you had one in your signature. A local shop around here has one that I go and play with but I can't buy her. They want like 1500 for the little thing. She's been there for almost a year now, the owner knows me by name now and even calls her 'my' bird.

Keep telling him that I can't take on another and not for that price! If he ever came down to a more reasonable price, I might consider it.

Wow - that is expensive. They run around $1000 here (I'm in NJ). Is it a white belly or a black headed?

She is a cute little black headed. She steps up for me whenever I walk into the store and is happy to just ride around on my shoulder. He says that she only does that for me, but I think he is just saying that to get me to take her home

1500 is a lot, since you can get a macaw for less than that price but she is adorable. She lets me flip her onto her back and tickle her cute little tummy, gives me kisses.

Too bad they have to charge so much. The day she goes home to someone else is the day my heart will break I know.

That's what got me to buy Pita when I worked at Petco. The thought of someone else taking him home was unbearable. So I bought him. Best thing I ever did.

Maybe they will do the right thing and recognize your interest and let her go at a less expensive price. Where do you live? That is such a high price!
