Default Beaded Boing

I've seen these for smaller birds. They are mostly used to hold millet and such and I decided to try and make one. I figuredm how hard can it be? It took me 5 minutes to make this. Here's how:

Materials:
1 1/2 feet SS wire. I'm not 100% sure on the size, but it's pretty thick wire
Plastic beads
Wire cutters
Sand Paper
Needle nose pliers (I think that's what they are. You use them to bend the wire, sorry I'm not good with tools!)
Round container sized to how big around you want it.

Ok, start by cutting your wire. Then, wrap it around of your choice. Don't worry about making it a spiral shape yet, just try to get it completly round without any bumbs

Next, at the bottom of the wire, twist it down just large enoughso you can fit a clip through it. This will be the top of your toy. Next, clip off any sharp edges and sand so it's not sharp. And finally, thread on your beads! I really enjoyed making it colorful and fun for Princess Lucy!

Ok, for the bottom, I used a plastic pacifier. You can also use bells, but I thought a paccy would be cute Use your pliers to round it off again like the top and clip and sand again. I pushed smaller beads over where the two parts meet just in case Here's a picture of the finished product:

We got the SS wire at Lowes, but I think you can buy it at craft stores as well. Make sure it's SS as they have a Zinc one in nearly the same package. It costed about $15 (if memory serves right) but I got a TON of it and it's well worth the money.

*Idea---Today, instead of putting millet in it, I clipped some rosmary off of our bushes. It was a tasty treat and Lucy had fun eating it

Thank you for the nice toy suggestion. I was just trying to think of a toy idea to make for my Grandchildren's Budgies and this will be perfect!

I love this idea but I cant find the wire. Can you take a pic of the package or the loose wire for me? Do you remember what things were in the isle with the wire? I just went to Home Depot & Lowes, No luck. They had Galvanized wire though.

Hmmm... The actual package part is no more, lol. It's on a black roll... The only words on it are HEWLETT. They may also have it at Michaelsor a craft store... I'm surprised it's not at Lowes or Home Depot...
