Default The New Cages!

Well, yesterday we went to the bird show looking for a new cage for Lucy. We find a beautiful Napolian top cage that is nice and big (it's a lot bigger than in the pics). So we go back today and purchase the floor model. Well, on our way back, my dad starts talking about how nice it would be to not have the play top (Echo's cage, he doesn't like it, lol) and so we turn around and buy the last one in the Nap. top and silver/black color! It's a really nice cage and I love it! We still have to assemble Lucy's, but Echo is in it and loves it! It's not as low as the play top and has more room, as well cas a front piece that comes down. Here's a pic of it after I got done cleaning and one partially set up:

Beautiful cage Dominique! What are the dimensions?

I took the liberty of turning your pictures for you. I hope you don't mind.

Thanks! I couldn't seem to figure it out, lol!

As for the dimensions, I think (need to double check) are 30 deep, 40 wide and 70 high. Good sized cages. There wasn't anything much bigger, unfortunatly. But, they were a really good price and we got them before the price went up long story). I absolutly love them. They have good locks, are nice and big and have a shelf underneath. I love how they don't go all the way to the ground too. I feel like Echo and Lucy 'waste' half of their cages because they go to the floor, but never use that part of the cage. With these, it's a bit higher, so I think not being so low will help them to play more!

Wow they look great! And Echo looks so small in there so they must be good size!

It looks like my Kings cages #s 506, but much smaller. Do you know if that's who makes yours? Mine (sized for macaws) are 48" wide, 36" deep and 78" high, and Mikey Blue looks absolutely dwarfed in his (we just purchased a second one today, and haven't set it up yet). Kings cages are my personal favs, so I'm thinking that if that's what you got, you got one heckuva good cage! Your bird will be quite happy in there :-).

48" x 30" x 78" would be perfect for me!!!

With the addition I put on Sophie's cage it is the same size as yours Dominique. Really cool looking too!! The top gives it a little pizazz.

Unfortunatly, it's not Kings Cage. I have wanted one SO bad, but unfortunatly, they are a little up therefor two, not including shipping. I absolutly love these too! Ours isn't made by a specific brand. The man uses bird owners ideas and makes his own. I'll try to find his card and get the website off of it. The cages are perfect size for them. We are building an aviary where they can spend more time outside as well. Our poor sun room, we have 6 cages, 5 are in there and there's a couple boxes for the other new one, lol!

The play top and Lucy's old cage are going asap. The play top is getting one of the bracket's rewelded this week and I'm going to sand it down and get some paint (non toxic, does anyone know where I can get this?) and fix it. Otherwise, it's in good condition. Lucy's old cage...that may take me awhile. It's going to have to be stripped and repainted plus a lot of other stuff. But, once the other cages are gonel, the bird room is going to look really good!
