Default Beak length

HI everyone,

One parrot related topic I never learned about properly is beak length. How long is too long? Should it be trimmed? Humph's beak is looking a little long to me. She has a mineral block that she likes to chew on, but as for wooden toys, she doesn't shred them or anything. She plays with her toys delicately and daintily!

How long should the beak be? How long is too long?

I could take a profile pic of her and post it so you guys could assess her beak. I need to add to this that Humphrey is terrified of being toweled, and I want to avoid it as much as possible.
What do you think?

Hi Michele - I really don't have a clue! Here's an article about bird beaks - anatomy and care - don't know if it will really help or not though. Bird Beaks: Anatomy, Care, and Diseases

I'm sorry Michele, I don't know either. The only thing I can suggest is taking her to an avian vet to get their opinion on it. Sorry!
