Default plastic chain

I have ordered toys that have plastic chain on them. The chain is cut and put on the toy and left that way. I usually take the cut link off and use quick links to attach it to the toy, for fear that a talon or tongue could get caught in the slice on the plastic chain. Am I being too picky?

It's a small picture but hopefully you can see what I'm referring to:

I do the same thing Karen. With the small plastic chain that I use I worry most about feet getting caught in the cut link.

I always go with 'better safe, than sorry.' Having them like that makes me think of those plastic baby/toddler links that I've heard have been responsible for stuck toes or beaks. It's not difficult to replace them, so I say you may as well keep doing it.
