Default Ninja flew away

My wife and I cared for a little green Quaker named Ninja while his parront went on vacation, what a very well manored little bird.
My wifes friend is named Julie, well Julie called crying and my wife was away so I spoke with her on the phone and learned Ninja had flown away, I was able to calm Julie down (a Little) and told her how to get Ninja down out of the neighbors tree, 15 minutes passed and the phone rang again.
Ninja is back home, and scared.
Julie took Ninjas cage over to her neighbors house and set it up and began playing with his toys and coaxing him down, well it worked.
Julie is scared and so is Ninja.
A friendly reminder, Please don't take your friend outside without a harness.

I know first hand that Clipping the birds wings is not going to keep a bird grounded, we lost one of our kids right after clipping her wings, I spent all day walking a field looking for our little bird.
I know the HURT, the frustrations, the WORRY.
I would never wish such feeling's unto anyone.
Most stories don't end so well, Julie and the wife and I are very lucky as we both recovered our birds.
The risk involved is simply put (not worth it).
Peace

Thank goodness for the wonderful return on Ninja. Unfortunately, we have had two calls just this weekend of birds who have flown away - one African Grey and one Hahns Macaw. Right now it is pouring rain, which is probably a good thing since I doubt these birds would have any way of finding water anywhere.

I'm so glad that the little one is home safe and sound, I was fearing the worst when I saw the title of this thread.
