We found a very young budgie in a neighbors backyard. She still has all her bars and her cere is very light. When we got her, she was very weak, she could barely perch on your finger. Now that she has some seed, pellets, and water in her system, she's perking up nicely. Does anyone have any other advice to get her up and healthy again? At this point, she's made a huge turnaround, so it's looking pretty well for her. Thanks in advance for any help.

Its possible that sheor he got out from someones hands. but it sounds like you are doing the right thing. especially if he or she has perked up..
to me anyway it sounds like she he got the right kind of love and care.

Great, thanks! At this point, she just alternates between eating and napping. But it was a relief to see her climbing around her cage a little while ago and exploring a bit. We're going to post some flyers and ads around to see if we can find her owners, but if not, then she/he (she kind of just stuck lol) will join my boys.

I don't have anything else to add that you're not already doing - it's great that he/she's eating already and perking up. Thanks for taking him in and trying to find the owner!!

The only suggestions I would make are possibly seeing about getting the little guy to the vet to be checked out, and that quarantine is always a good idea until you're sure he's well.

We posted flyers around the area and by the nearest vet. All vets are closed today, so if we still can't find her owner by the beginning of the week, we'll take her in for a check up. She is seperated from my boys, but she does listen intently when they are chattering. She's such a sweety, obviously someones pet, I hope she finally gets reunited with her owners after her whole ordeal.

Glad to hear she is doing well, and if she ends up staying.... she found a great spot to be stranded!
