I was PM'ed by a friend asking me What I feed my birds, some suggerstions... (I am asked this alot) Well I got a little carried away, explaining (also included some pics). I was a little surprised at the amount of food I had, but I thought I would share the post.. Just for laughs of course...

I have so many different things I feed my breeders.. My freezer is full of food just for them.... I always keep it interesting. My birds love Beak Appitite (except Cream of Tweet) They love the Kitchen creations, Bird bread, boiled popcorn, frozen veggies (defrosted & I put the through a quick spin in my food processor), soaked, & sprouted seed seed... I make up different combinations of soaked seed mixtures, and feed it daily.. I am forever soaking seed... Also My egg Food is given religiously a couple times a day..There is so much good stuff in there ...I should not have to give anything else.. but variety is the spice of life.

Ok... Now I know I have a problem.. I decided I would go get a couple of pics of what I have & how I package it.. And this is just the cooked food I make for them... This does not include the dry mixes (Like Goldenfeast), fresh fruits & vegetables, At that point (while taking the food out of the freezer for pictures)... I realized I have a problem... And I think I need to make an appointment with my doctor tomorrow... Let's just say... I think I have that Obsessive ~ compulsive disorder.. I have a system (for preparing bird food).. I make 2 different soak seed mixtures a week, and 1 cooked food mixture...To keep the stock up in my freezer..
You know how you always hear... My birds I think actually eat better then we do... And now I understand my kids reasoning for saying this:

My up stairs fridge freezer, the egg cartons have birdiebread cones & muffins in them, 2 shelves out of 4 are for the birds.

..and just now ..I realized... I forgot to take a picture of the mini fridge we have in the bird room... It is full of the food that we are serving daily.. The food has already been defrosted.. We package it up for enough for the birds to eat in 2 or 3 days

OMG, you are a gourmet chef of a Birdie Mommie! I'm afraid to ask what your human family eats! LOL

McDonalds, Wendy's, Tubby's... Just kidding... they eat very well also... My husband is old world... & wants (demands) homecooked meals nightly...No box meals,no T.V. dinners, no leftovers..... But I still love him!
