Red face Changing your bird's look or colour

I know Laker has tried many times to have red, green or yellow feet - by jumping in my paint [did it again 2 days ago - magenta this time & the boing is even more colourful!]

Laker has stained his beard red a few times with the mineral block. Now the latest Budgie - Rio - has managed to colour his head orange. I gave him a head bath - water only - & 1/2 is gone - a diluted orange on a Dilute Budgie.

Hmmm....I can't say that my guys have stained themselves

Rio doesn't look half bad with a yellow head

On the other post you said he looked more relaxed. This is very true.

After all he had no hard feelings that i could see; after i had put his head under the tap & was rubbing away & rubbed him dry. He was pretty happy to get back on his perch - but he's not running away like he did. We had a nice one-on-one after lunch as well. That's when i took the photos.

I love it, that he's so willing to try everything. I think he'll be a big influence on Laker. Maybe Laker can show him some neatness skills tho - there's seed everywhere!

Rio looks good. I have had orange hued budgies from grated carrots and in mullberry season we get pinkish purplish faces.

That would be interesting, if the new budgie teaches Laker things
