I've spent the past couple of days trying to get som decent in-flight pics, and I actually got some that turned out pretty well! My camera is very old and I desperately need a new one, but I was surprisingly able to get some ok shots (after about 100 takes at least!).
Most of these are of Winston as he's the slowest flyer. Lulu is impossible to get because my camera has an auto-focus feature that I don't know how to turn off and the camera won't even let me snap the pic when she's in flight. Jerry is near-impossible to get because he's so fast as well, but I did get a couple of him.
Winston:
These next 3 are blurry, but I like them anyways (still Winston):
Jerry:
Both budgies in-flight, Jerry is on the left:
And finally, the one and only shot I was able to get of Lulu landing:
Those are great! I cant seem to ever get a pic of my birds in-flight. They always come out blurry. is there a setting I should use?
I have no clue about camera settings (which can explain why most of my pics end up blurry even if the birds are standing still!! ) - I'm just a "point & shooter." But I will admit that it took LOTS and LOTS of bad pics along the way with just these few good ones in between. My birds are so fast in flight that I was amazed to get even these few decent ones.
I don't have any good ones of Dakota, and I haven't had the opportunity to get any of Mira yet. Maybe tomorrow I'll get some good ones of both of them!
When Ceilidh fledged, he spent a lot of time flying to and from my curtain rods. Hope these count, since he's actually in the process of landing up there :-):
