I'm back from my visit. She is beautiful! When we got there, we were told we just missed picking out our baby as the other babies new family picked first. They picked the outgoing, wiggly one. We got the reserved, cuddly one. She is so calm. Snuggled with both hubby and I, let us both hold her, and flapped like crazy a few times. Then she started mumbling to us! It was sooo funny! As they have been growing, the breeder told me one likes to be preened by the baby caiques she raises, and one likes to snuggle with the stuffed teddy bear. We got the snuggly one. She was so sweet. After finally meeting her, I have decided to call her "Zakiya". It means intelligent in Swahilli. Now I am really anxious to get her home. I am refering to her as "she" as the other one just seemed so outgoing and "boyish"! LOL Also she has the red factor on her thighs which are so cute! Ok all, thanks for listening to me ramble on.. more questions to come for sure! LOL

Hi there, Thanks for the kind words! I am still walking around on clouds. She will be 12 weeks old Tuesday so I have about a month longer I think. The breeder is wonderful and she says when they are ready, they will wean. I have to say, I couldn't believe the babies. They were so calm, Zakiya was resting on her food dish after I put her back, and I brought a toy for her to play with now and we'll bring it home with her as a comfort. As soon as the breeder hung it on the outside of the cage, her brother went right for it and started playing. Wasn't afraid at all! Z was resting and wasn't interested. Hmp. LOL. But they both had play time with their new families, and were very interactive. It was a GREYT day! LOL
