The new bird room is a success!!! My Tinkerbell Afa has gained weight, Occy is talking up a storm, Buddy and Occy have become pals, and Alex, well, Alex is still a little weird! Heres a few pics of the new hoopball, courtesy of the Hoopball thread here. And the new boing is hanging, which is a favorite of Alex.

Leigh it looks great! Glad they're all getting along so well being together.

We're still in the process of adding things slowly, so to not scare them. Im surprised though, I can leave all 4 out together with no fighting. Afa has stopped screaming and biting. All good things. For those who dont know, we had Occy and Alex upstairs in a room of their own, while Buddy and Afa were in the family room. Because we have an open floor plan, the too dust was covering everything, feathers everywhere. We had our home office in the room next to the family room. We took all the heavy furniture apart, moved it upstairs and created a new home office in a spare bedroom. I painted the room that was the office, took out the carpet and put in a DuPont snap and lock laminate floor that looks like stone. Now all 4 cages are in there, 3 rolling perches, and the stuff hanging from the ceiling. It has made my life so much easier and birds seem like a real flock now. I just cant believe, they actually talk to each other now. Its amazing! Occy is singing, Afa is speaking sentences. I thought I would feel like I banished them from the family room and it really bothered me. But it turns out it was a better support system for them to have each other. Now they can be out of the cage together all day, unless Im out. They can walk into the family room if they want, and at night we roll all the perches in for them to watch t.v with us still.

The Hoopball project though, I never want to do again! They love it though. Buddy and Occy will sit on it together.
