Ok, got another question I've been wanting to ask.

Which of all the parrots do find to be the most beautiful? Not interesting....I'll ask that one later.....but beautiful?

Of all the parrots in the world (that I'm aware of), the one I find the most beautiful to look at or to watch is the Moluccan Cockatoo. Why? Their feather coloring in contrast to the blue skin around the eyes I find just......beautiful. The salmon color crest in contrast to the peach feathers I find simply....I don't know, I don't even think there is a word for it.

People spend thousands of dollars for artwork on their walls. I've spent $400 bucks on a rescue and have this beautiful piece of living art moving about my house that I find simply............priceless.

Hmmm ... if you are going for coloring then I would have to say hands down the St. Vincent Amazon (Amazona guildingii).



It all depends on what you define beauty to be. I am a Grey person so perhaps the wrong one to ask.
My definition of beauty differs from others I think, but any and all of the Blue's are also on the top of my list there.

Athough I think my C2 is the most beautiful with her yellow crest and tinges of yellow under her wings my second choice would be the male Eclectus. I just love the way the feathers shine and the beak looks like a piece of candy corn!!

Wow that Amazon is gorgeous!

I don't know alot about the more rare types of parrots but of the ones I normally see I would have to say CAGs. I know some people think they are plain but not me. Those bright red tails and their gorgeous eyes melt my heart!

Okay, this is not a "cop-out" but how I really feel - beauty is in the eye of the beholder. AND, I honestly believe God made all creatures beautiful!

Mike, that bird is beautiful. I never even knew there was a St. Vincent's Amazon. How breathtaking.

I met one last week that I have never seen before.It was a dusky Lorey. Omg this bird just had all the colors mixed in and was a real pistol too.Not into poop shooters but geez what a bird.

Normally I would say eclectus but after seeing that picture, I would have to say the st. vincent amazon. What a truly beautiful creature. I have never seen anything like it.

Well that's it, really. They were all rendered perfect by the brush of whatever artist you choose to believe painted this universe. Do we have the wisdom to say which is the most beautiful?
