Default Send them to me!

If you find a Pigeon and or Dove and wish to find a person to take them in and care for them, look no further.
If you have a (pet) Dove and or Pigeon that for reasons unknown you have to part with your friend I will adopt your little friend and provide a forever home, (I do not buy life), if you are surendering your little friend, know that I don't buy and or sell birds, this is against my beliefs, I DON"T SELL AND OR BUY LIFE, My wife buys birds, I do not, I am a RESCUER.
I will send you a live bird shipping box and cover all costs to have the Pigeon and or Dove sent to me.
Are you an ACTIVE PARROTCHATTER MEMBER and would like to adopt a baby from me, let me know, I cover all costs to send one of my babies to you, but you will have to spend alittle money to send the shipping box back to me, well under $10.00 dollars to ship the box back to me.
Actually I think its under $5.00 dollars to send the box to me.
I will have 2 babies real soon to adopt out, I will post pictures of my little ones as soon as they become old enough for adoption.
You the adoptor will have to agree to one condition, if for some reason you can no longer care for one of my babies, the bird must be returned to me, offering one of my babies to another person is simply not an option, I don't want any of my babies passed around as if there life has no meaning, this is a very small (condition) I ask from all adoptors.
Again, I cover all costs to return the bird to me.
If you want to love and care for one of BrokenWings Babies I can cause this to happen for you, just let me know by telling me alittle about yourself, active ParrotChatter members are not required to tell me about themselfs, I already know you by reading your words and or your contributions to ParrotChatter.
If you would like to know more about me as an adoptor, please see the thread "I am BrokenWing" here on ParrotChatter.
Peace
BrokenWing

Arty...... How about this idea: (to make your doves & pigeons a lil easier to adopt out - if needed). Maybe you should not require a PC member (especially one of good standing) to ship the bird back to you should they not be able to keep the bird any longer for whatever reason. If they were chosen by you/allowed by you to give a bird of yours a good home in the first place, then I would think that you have enough confidence and trust in them to believe they would use their good judgement to place/re-home the bird to a caring person near their home if they so choose - rather than go thru the hassle (& even possible risk) of sending back to you only to once again add to your flock size and work load. JMO and a suggestion.

Oh Arty...I would love to adopt one if only we did not have so many preditors down here. I had a bad experiance in the past when keeping my fids on a enclosed porch, with windows. I know I could keep one in the house but, that would seem so unfair. Maybe when I build my outdoor aviary with double mesh.
I have a family of Doves that visit several times a day to eat, drink and bathe.

The word EASY plagues the (pet) world, this is why there lives have very little value.
Lets just imagin a Parakeet costing $500.00 instead of $19.99, maybe they wouldn't be discarded so fast.
I occassionally allow my Pigeons to keep there eggs (not often), so there is no reason for me to make it (easy) for the adoptor.
I have adopted out many exotics over the years, many folks have not been excepted as (reputable adoptors).
BrokenWing Aviaries screens prospective adoptors extremely well including calling folks that know the adoptor.
When being a member of a great forum such as ParrotChatter you get to know folks, not just anybody can have the chance at caring for one of my birds.
In my world all birds are loved the same, from the Starling outside to the great Macaws, Just as human lives are concidered Precious and Priceless are my babies outside and in.
No offence (J) but maybe (Easy) should be removed from the pet world, maybe this would end a generous amount of suffering they endure.
Example;
The Neighbors Cat had babies, up the sign went (free kitties), there is no cost, there are no requirements, and many (easy) little kittens end up at shelters and or destroyed, or even worse, they are set free to fend for themselfs and thrive on wildlife for food.
Its a vicous world (J) a world of (EASY).
I support higher costs for Pets and stricter penalties unto the pet owner that abuse there pets, and allowing your pet to be at large is ABUSE.
We live in a world of the Majority rules, there are more folks abusing there PETS than there are good folks that love there PETS, visit any humane society and or shelter for proof of what I say, thousands of Dogs and Cats and Birds pay the ultimate price each and everyday here in the USA due to (EASY) they pay with there lives.
Peace

May Peace be with you Brother...... Amen, Amen I say to you.

Btw, one other curiosity question (even though you did not really answer my other question): Why not release your weaned baby doves & baby pigeons into the wild or did I miss you addressing that before?

Many Pigeons I do return to the wild, Many Pigeons are Racers (banded racers), these birds are human raised and they will always be drawn to the human, many humans harm the Pigeon, then lets say one of these racers finds a bad human and he she is killed, 90% of my Pigeons are rescued Racers, to release them will only cause them to look for a human to feed and water them, The ferals I rescue and there injuries heal well are returned unto Mother.
Peace to you and your Family (J), I value your friendship.
I pray I have not offended you with my words.
Animals, Wildlife mean so very much to me, sometimes trying to help and protect them brings out my worst inner most.
It stormed here today, Hail the size of a quarter, all I could think of and hurt over was those outside fending for themself.
Take care my friend.

I worry for babies outside too when theres a storm. We have resident wild bunnies. One Ive known since a baby. The last bad storm, all night I kept saying "I hope my bun bun is ok". I lose sleep. She showed up the next day, soaking wet looking in the back door. I gave her a carrot like usual.

Arty - thanks for all you do rescuing these birds. I don't know much about them... but seeing the one you sent to Camille just really melted my heart. Again, thanks for caring for these wonderful little creatures.
