Default Quick snack - no cooking - food covered feet

I have been trying to eat healthy snacks around the Budgie.
Today I tried this Organic spread on warm bread.

Bread ~ Ciabatta [holey, coarse, Italian bread - nice firm crust]
Spread ~ Roasted Red Pepper Hummus
(*organic) - *chick peas, *soya paste, *sunflower/canola oil, *roasted red peppers, *lemon juice, *fresh whole garlic, apple cider vinegar, *fresh parsley, white vinegar, sea salt, ground cumin, ground white pepper, organic spices.

He loved the bread - he loves bread of all sorts. But he walked thru [& landed in] my spread covered slices - ignored his pieces.

Ended up with orange feet with toes stuck together - guess I'll let him clean that off. Maybe he'll feel like using his pool.

Question - are all the ingredients OK??? - Garlic???

I have seen garlic on safe foods lists....

My only concern would be the sea salt content.. not last on ingrediants.. u but up by several items.. and the unknown organic spices...

We had a discussion about Garlic a while back, with mixed reactions. Some folks feel its fine, others say probably ok as long as you limit it. Mine just love garlic, and I'll usually mix a quarter teaspoon of minced garlic in with their kitchen sink mix a couple times a week.

Salt
I forgot about that - oops - so much for eating processed foods. Sometimes i get tired of cooking so much..................it didn't taste overly salty.

Well he didn't try the paste - only walked thru it to sample the bread [why he couldn't he have done that on his own pieces???]- what a mess - maybe it makes a good foot moisturizer - it sure is no longer on his feet.

It was tasty & he loved the bread - but bread isn't what i'm trying to get him into.

GARLIC ~ now i remember the discussion & since this afternoon, when i did some more reading ~ garlic appears OK, from what i read.

I have heard mixed reviews on garlic. It always "used" to be fine for birds. I have given it to my birds with no problem, although I don't do it often.

My only concern, too, is the sea salt.
