It's amazing when you see them wet that they could be so beautiful when dry! My Ekkies LOVE the vacuum cleaner - they plunge into the water bowl and have a grand old time!

Yep Cathie I have noticed that Lilly does that too when I am vacuming around her cage. I wonder why?

I've read that it may be that the sound of a vacuum cleaner triggers a sort of "racial memory" of the sound of torrential rain forest downpours or rushing rivers. Wonderful thought, in my opinion, and also serves as a reminder that their perceptions of the world differ from ours. Could help explain why sometimes their reactions to something can be so different than what we would expect.

Love a wet birdy!! SO cute.

Pita just screams his head off when I vacuum. It's his enemy, and he shall let the world know it is not welcome in "HIS" home! lol
