Default Budgies & Music

A imagine all birds like music. I know Budgies do.
They seem to like all types of music but not all performers. On a daily basis around our home - laker gets a heavy dose of Classical - as i think it is less stressful & he doesn't have to sing like mad to keep up.

Both my husband & son play guitar. Laker will fly to the music room/my son's room & hang out.
Here are some photos of him hanging out with both, at 2 different times.

Great pictures! I wish someone in my house could play music like that - I'm sure my guys would love it too - but show Lulu those strings and knobs and she'd have it destroyed if you turn your head

Jerry's a big music fan, of anything upbeat really - he sings and then Winston joins in.

valo HATES it when i sing to him (no comments, i never thought i had a beautiful voice)... but bella loves it when BF sings to her, and valo actually enjoys that too (he doesn't have a beautiful voice either LOL )

valo does like willie nelson though and he gets to listen to some classical music

Those pictures are adorable Jac!

Ollie likes it when I sing to her, and she is fascinated by my brother playing the guitar (he's fabulous- he even sings, and composes his own music). She'll hardly make a peep while he's playing. She doesn't really seem to even listen to music on the radio or on my computer.

Default Continuing saga

I am the worst singer - but i do sing little things to Laker - he seems to be tone deaf.

On the other hand he was right in there again today when Jack was practicing - he did get off the strings finally. He sat on Jack's knee & sang to the music, only stopping when the guitar was quiet.

I played with the 1st photo - the lighting isn't good right in front of the window. In the portrait of Laker - do you see how yellow his eyes are - high excitement.

Oh yeah, that's the hyper-budgie look!

Great shots! My fids join in when I sing, but I don't think too hard about whether they know it is my attempt at music or if they think it is a hazard call <g>
