Default Dr's report on seizing parakeet

The dr. called this morning to report on our parakeet having seizures yesterday. Since they had given him the valium yesterday he has not witnessed any other seizures but seems lethargic and depressed "over the whole ordeal". He doesn't seem interested in food so they are going to continue tube feeding him. His blood work came back and it seems to be kidney related, that number is very high. and the proteins are off as well, can't remember which way they were reading though. So he is going to start him on Milk Thistle and take it from there. His prognosis is guarded right now.

Please continue to pray for his recovery - he needs it!!!

Prayers from this end, too. Has your doctor suggested trying allopurinol?

He has not - what does it do?
This is all new to me and I don't know anything!!! I don't even know where to begin to educate myself, it can be overwhelming. I did start looking on the internet but I really couldn't find any in depth answers.

Thank you EVERYONE for sending prayers and good thoughts!
