I thought I would share some pics of Java Rice Finches

They look like little bats in the box, Don't they?

Here they are out of the box.. We had to clean it....

There are 6 babies there...

Wow, what a clutch! They are so cute at their little pterodactyl stage. Congrats to the proud parents.

Are they regular Javas? They seem dark.

The hen is normal The male is white...
They did not turn out pied... but they have more of the normal Java Rice coloring... but a lot of white ticks (patches)

They look good, will their colouring change any more? cheek patches & definitions to the patterns??

OK... here are a couple of pics of the finches... I will have my husband get better ones... They are not used to me... I went by the cage... and you would have thought I was a cat or something...LOL.. They would not relax.. It took forever to get these two shots.. Isn't it funny how they get used to their caregivers... Mine (breeders) go nuts, when my husband goes by them..
