Has anyone tried the species specific caique Bird Elicious diet for their caique? I have been debating on whether or not to get some.
From the website:
hese busy-bees of the avian world need an energetic diet to provide those essential complex carbohydrates necessary for endless exercise! This diet provides that type of energy and even more nutrients for vital organ functions.
100% Human-grade, natural and organic ingredients:
Alfalfa, sweet potatoes/yams (depending on seasonal availability), bananas, apricots, squash, variety depends on seasonal availability, dandelion greens, safflower seed, unsweetened coconut, papaya, carrots, blueberries, mango, cherries, hemp oil, quinoa, cooked black beans, buckwheat groats meal (not wheat, actually a berry!), pine nuts, pineapple, pumpkin seed, buckwheat groats, raisins, CA-Montmorillonite clay, oat groats, bee pollen, Brazilian marine coral calcium, rosemary, almonds, palm oil, eucalyptus leaves, ginger, schisandra berries (liver cleanser), basil, cilantro, hazelnuts, kelp, macadamia nuts, parsley, red chili flakes, proprietary edible flower mix, rose hips, sage, one of the following tender-shoot grasses (all contain similar nutrition): wheatgrass, barleygrass, alfalfa grass, wild mountain oregano. In addition, flash-frozen, dehydrated, finely ground mealworms providing essential "animal protein".
We cannot list the worms in our general list of ingredients because they are not considered "human-grade" by the FDA. However, they are raised on human-grade foodstuffs.
It sounds good enough that I could eat it!
