|  I finally did it! I finally raised myself a hand tame canary.. This little baby is a real sweetie.... I am just hoping it is a male... I would love to have it sitting on my finger, singing a song... Although Glosters are not known for their song.. They do have a sweet little song... It does not have too many changes like a Red Factor or an American singer does... But it is a nice song never the less.... needless to say... This one will not be for sale..LOL But it so cool that I was able to do it...It is not nervous in my hand, in fact I really think it likes to spend time with me. I had said last year, I was really going to try and get myself a hand tame canary.. And I did!.. It is so cool... I am sorry I don't mean to keep blabbering about it... But it is very uncommon... OK...OK.. Here the little baby is... Click-able    Next time I will get some video... Hopefully with a little song.. That would be so sweet! | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Re: I finally did it! You know... It is funny.... I have been working with this baby everyday... for at least 4 weeks... and have just called it baby bird.... I know baby bird can not be its name... but with canaries... it takes months to know if it is male or female... A name... that is just too funny... I have known since I have been working with it.... that if I could get it hand tame I was going to keep it... I have to say the canaries are my husband’s thing... We have so many... we don't name them... In fact... when we started getting them I was naming them... he was not happy... it was quite funny... but now 3 years into breeding canaries... they do not have names... So.... I guess I have to come up with a neutral name... Any suggestions? Here is the picture again just in case you forgot what this sweetheart looks like: Front viewSide viewSo come on.....
