Rico is my 3 year old U2, my baby, and whom I also call "my golden child". He was the first one here, at my house, and he and I just have this "connection". He knows my actions and tone of voice and I know the same with him.

Anyway, I don't work with new tricks as much as I used to, but when I do work on him with new tricks, he picks up on them so quick. Here's a link to one of our latest tricks. I train with pine nuts all of my birds. This is what I used as my reinforcement in this video. Probably not the safest trick, but it's a funny one. It's really funny when your in the other room and the lights go out.

Rico's peeping throught the paper towel roll is an absolute riot and I've been told I need to enter it into america's funniest animal videos. The other cockatoo your looking at who has conversations is my Moluccan Cockatoo, Rocky. He's a riot too, but what a handful.

OMG Lara, that entire video had me in stiches!! I LOVE the bunny hop he does in the beginning!

Watching that was like watching me with Ollie, I swear I talk the same way to her when she's not doing just what I want her to. She also can't ever seem to stay off of me!

Rico is such a doll- he looks like he has a goofy grin in his face all the time!

Edit: I just watched all your videos- I want to meet your fids SO BAD! Those outside videos of Rocky are hilarious! Rico is so....bouncy! Does he think he's half rabbit??

That was the first one I watched after the light switch trick! He's such a riot! I didn't realize how not playful Ollie is until I saw your videos. She'll chase toes on the bed and crawl under the covers, but that's about the only time she really opens up and gets playful (other than with her toys). I would just love it if every once in awhile she would let loose and play Rico-style!
